But, in spite of the satisfaction of seeing my pictures published, and winning a few prizes, I never felt that my news photography got near the truth about the world as I experienced it. With my painting I think I can get a bit closer to the emotional and asthetic values that I want to communicate.<br /><p/><br />Here's a small sample of my images. My past experience with Web sites is that they take a lot more work than I have time to put in. One result was that my site was rarely up-to-date. The blog format makes updates easy, so I can keep the site up-to-date with recent samples of my work with relatively little effort. On the other hand, I doubt that anybody but me reads this site on a regular basis, so I'm not making any effort to keep a real blog.<br /><p/><br />There are a few things that don't work so well with this format: since each section of my site is, in fact, a blog post, I'm a bit limited by by the Blogger formatting options, but I have done a bit of editing of the Blogger template, especially of the embedded style sheets, to customize things. One thing you might notice is that the dates of the posts are a bit out of sync with the content.
